The PÕ¾ÊÓƵ story began in 1984 as a single nonprofit Medicaid health plan operating in the basement of a Milwaukee, Wisconsin hospital. Today, PÕ¾ÊÓƵ is the largest Medicaid managed care organization in the nation serving 14.5 million members, and a leader in California, Florida, New York, and Texas, four of the largest Medicaid states.
The success of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ's Medicaid programs supports our multi-line portfolio approach, allowing us to leverage existing Medicaid infrastructure to support expansion of other business lines, such as our Wellcare (Medicare Advantage) and our Ambetter (Health Insurance Marketplace) products.
